SHP0727 – Matron Eliza Tank and staff of Nethercourt Private Hospital, Surrey Hills, c 1924

Matron Tank on the right, her daughter Mrs Irene Anderson and 2 other nursing staff of the Nethercourt Private Hospital at 11 Wilson Street, Surrey Hills in c1924. The hospital was opened by Miss Lucy Musselwhite in 1914 and taken over by Matron Tank in 1921. In 1930 / 1935 Matron Tank transferred the hospital to 219-223 Union Road and it was later known as Norwich Hall / St Jude’s.
